Solaris was a food market before stores had to start carrying paper goods and shampoo, canned goods, batteries, and hair dryers. Can I sit down and be served?
We have limited seating inside and outside but the café is self-service. We want you to save the time and money involved in dealing with waitstaff.Do you have a menu you can give me?
Instead of menus, the meals are presented on platters in our chefs cases. Our menu changes daily and all the options are visually presented for you to choose from.Do you cater?
Yes, we cater food but not service. We have catering menus available as well as special seasonal menus available. We can also prepare most items in the store with a few days notice. The chef at the platter case can go over the options with you.Do you deliver?
Presently for a $10 delivery fee we deliver purchases over $100.How many prepared meals will be available daily?
There will be over 100 meal options, freshly prepared meals and meals packaged "to go." Commander's Palace turtle soup, seared tuna salad, crawfish pie, muffalettas, chicken Cobb sandwiches, roast beef "debris" sandwiches, double stuffed pork chops, buttermilk pecan rotisserie chicken, crab cakes, stuffed eggplant, meatloaf and house made Worcestershire, four cheese macaroni, to name a few.What else can I buy at Foodies Kitchen®?
Foodies Kitchen® will offer one-stop shopping for today's busy consumers. Visitors will find hand-crafted artisan breads, foccacio, sourdough, crusty French breads, baguettes, cookies, muffins, scones, Foodies Kitchen®'s own blend of New Orleans roasted coffee, wines, over 100 cheeses and the old style Solari's pickle barrels. You can shop for fresh produce, fresh cut flowers, and from a full service deli, as you watch bakers prepare and bake fresh breads thoughout the day.What can the shopper expect to see at Foodies Kitchen®?
It looks like nothing you've ever seen. Imagine a restaurant with no waiters and no walls around the kitchen. Everywhere you look there are chefs ready to prepare your order, serve your selection or just assisst you on the spot with culinary advice. It's one 8,000 square foot kitchen with a wonderful market, great meat and seafood and a full-scale bakery.What makes Foodies Kitchen® different from grocery meals to go?
We're restauranteurs, not grocers. Most groceries don't have chefs. At Foodies Kitchen® there will be 40 chefs on staff. Meals will be prepared daily and served the day they are prepared. Meals will be fresh and made with the finest ingredients.Will it be expensive?"

The Commander's Palace Family comes from a culture of quality, and has provided fine dining experiences in New Orleans and Houston for decades.
